There have been a lot of updates today regarding how the Covid-19 is going to impact tax season and small business owners. This information is being updated at a rapid pace, so be sure to check the IRS website for continued updates and changes.

The IRS has announced this afternoon that the individual tax return due date has been extended from April 15th to July 15th.

This is an extension of time to PAY your taxes due on your 2019 Form 1040 return. The IRS is also suspending penalties and interest charges for those with balances due on their return. ALL individual US taxpayers qualify for this 90 day payment extension.

This extension of time to pay does not extend the time to file your 2019 personal returns. So please ensure that you file your tax return timely OR request a 6 month extension prior to the 04/15/20 deadline.
